From Brent Council, 19 August 2009:
I am writing to illustrate the proposals for introducing a local cycle link in Leghorn
Road, at its junction with Park Parade.
Leghorn Road is currently closed to through traffic by a set of gates. The two
way cycle access through Leghorn Road will allow passage of cyclists, but will
still prohibit through vehicular access. Emergency services will be able to use the
access (when necessary).
Please see the drawing overleaf for full details of the scheme.
The proposed improvements are to remove the existing posts and gates in order
to allow a passageway for cyclists. Tactile paving for pedestrians going along
Park Parade will be introduced.
If you have any comments on the proposed measures please do not hesitate to
contact me.
Yours Sincerely
Tommaso Calia
Senior Engineer
