We have been graced with a bicycle mail delivery service since 1880 but with the passing of 130 years the Royal Mail have thought of a better way to get to our door – the internal combustion engine!

European cities elsewhere have not ridden down this cul-de-sac but of course we are different and like to learn the hard way.

Post Denmark have announced that they are to replace all their bicycles with step-through frames as they state; "We have seen the number of falls halved with the ladies frames."

Also a long term Swedish study has found that step-through/upright bicycles are much safer for cyclists.
