Free Air

There was a knock at my door this evening with a neighbours child of about six years old asking if i could pump up her tyres as she was struggling to keep up with her friends.

Out came the floor pump and before you could say free ice cream I had a queue of half a dozen children waiting for some free air. Even the ones who thought their tyres were fine with 5 P.S.I were shown the difference between 5 and 40 P.S.I  with the motto “It’s hard work if there not hard”  told to them which made them laugh and hopefully remember.

The smiles as they shot down the pavement after each other will last all summer long…

Let’s hope they do not tell too many of their local friends as I might a bit busy…
