Who is behind you?
There are a lot of cyclists out there at the moment and on the way to work up or down the A5.
I have noticed that many cyclists out there are not aware what is behind them, i have ridden behind other cyclists for 4 miles with not one glance in my direction as they pull out around obstructions or pass left hand turnings.
It is important to know what’s in front but prudent to know what is coming up behind as i was always told from my motorcycling days.
Taking that glance over your right shoulder when overtaking or passing left hand turns has paid off a few times for me in the past so i have continued it till this day,
Funny how you get a sixth sense that someone is behind you… boo!

Never trust a mirror 100% as those pesky blind spots catch you out, there is no subsitute for your pork pies when you need to know 100%. The much used " sorry did not see you mate" comes to mind.
Your eyes never lie unless there is a magician in front of you - where did it go!
Ever used a mirror? Does that

Ever used a mirror? Does that help, or is does it just give a false sense of security, and a dangerous lump of glass in the event of a collision?
