Schoolrun | Brent Cycling Campaign

Are you thinking of cycling more? You are spoiled for choice! A few groups have recently started offering some exciting activities in Brent with opportunities to give cycling a try, whatever your age or stage in life!

In addition to our own rides, regularly listed on our Eventbrite page and Cycle Buddies scheme, here’s a selection of what’s on offer in Brent.

Harlesden Mums Who Cycle

On Saturday 16 October 2021 | 2-4 pm in Roundwood Park

Harlesden mums Amandine and Mary invite you to try different cycling setups for the schoolrun. Come to Roundwood Park and speak to other parents who cycle with their children.


Saturday 23 October 2021 | 2-5 pm – Tiverton Green

A group of Dads who took to go for evening cycle rides during lockdown have now turned their attention to the future. Making cycling as natural as kicking a ball with monthly meetups in different Brent parks.

SmartRideUK – Big Bike Revival

October and November 2021 – Kilburn Grange

Cycle rides led by qualified instructors to get you back on the road with confidence. Daytime sessions during the week. Get in touch with Tom to register and find out more.

Joy Riders

Regular women-only and/or beginners cycle rides led by qualified instructors. You can join even if you do not own a bicycle! Check their Eventbrite page to keep an eye on dates and locations as they offer rides during the weekend and weekdays.

Breeze Rides

Regular women-only and social rides led by Renata our local British Cycling Breeze Champion. Her love for cycling is contagious and her rides will take you all over London! Find out more on the Breeze website and the dedicated Breeze Network Brent Facebook Page to find out more.

No need to book, just bring your bike to the shed. First-come, first-served basis.

FREE Learn to ride training – based at the Granville Centre 140 Carlton Vale, NW65HE.

A local ride on quieter roads for new or returning riders

Tuesday 21st December 4:30-6:30pm

FREE All events are for all ages starting from 9 years old. Children must be accompanied by a participating adult. Adult and some children’s bikes provided or bring your own bike.
